On November 21, 2025, all class monitors and League branch secretaries of the 2025 cohort at CKCattended a training session for class and League backbones on the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. The training aimed to enhance the organizational and management capabilities of the student leaders, preparing them for future class development work.

Lin Wei, secretary of the Youth League Committee of CKC, provided a systematic introduction to the practical aspects of class and League management for the participants. He began by outlining the overall structure of the College's Youth League Committee and offered detailed explanations on various fronts, including grassroots League affairs, social practice, volunteer services, and scientific innovation. Addressing common issues such as procedural oversights and communication gaps in daily work,Lin analyzed specific cases and proposed practical solutions. This helped clarify the work approach for the student leaders and laid a solid foundation for the orderly development of future class activities.

Gao Yanyun , the Youth League secretary of class 2403 (Eight-Year Programme in clinical medicine), which was awarded “May 4th Red Flag Youth League Branch”, shared valuable experience in Youth League branch building. She pointed out that with the aim of building standardized and high-spirited excellent, it is essential to establish cleared-phased objectives and long-term plans, deeply rooted in distinctive resources of the class, and organize brand activities that integrate ideological depth with practical value, so that the branch can really become a strong front for uniting and serving young people.
In the discussion session, with the theme of “how class organizations can help students transform from ‘accomplished learners’ to ‘creative thinkers’”, student leaders, facilitated by part-time counselors, engaged in a dynamic exchange of ideas, centering on two main aspects: “the Exploration and Practices of Chu Kochen Honors College in Innovation” and “Class Activities Designed to Spark Innovative Thoughs and Practical Ability.


Participants presented the outcome of their group discussion on the aforementioned topic. In their presentation, students mentioned that achieving the shift from “excelling in studies” to “excelling in creation” not only requires individuals breaking through conventional thinking patterns, but also requires class and league backbones to foster a collective atmosphere that encourages exploration and contains trials and errors. By exerting their organizational strength and leadership, they can guide students in fully utilizing the resources provided by the college and the university, breaking down single discipline barriers, and bridging the gap between thought and practice, thereby unleashing the collective innovation potentials.

It is believed that after this training session, they will internalize what they have learned today and put it into action. In the future development of their classes, they will courageously shoulder responsibilities and act proactively, uniting their classmates with youthful strength and making sure that the school motto “Seeking truth and innovation” shines brightly on the path to pursue excellence.
