Yuhu Residential Area

Colorful flags flutter in the wind, and festive scrolls hang high—Yuhu has been revitalized. Faculty members, residential advisors, the Senior Group, and volunteers werewell prepared at the dormitories.

Visit of the University Leaders

    On the afternoon of August 22, Ma Yanming, President of Zhejiang University and the Dean of Chu Kochen Honors College, visited the registration site to extend his regards to the staff involved in the welcome and orientation activities. He was accompanied by Wu Jian, Vice President of the university, and Zhu Hui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang University Committee. Ma Yanming engaged in warm conversations with the freshmen, encouraging them to make full use of the outstanding opportunities and valuable resources offered by the College, strive for progress, and pursue well-rounded development.

    "Congratulations to everyone embarking on this new journey!" At Bizhiju Room in Yuhu Residential Area, Ma Yanming attended a collective birthday party for new students’ representatives and presented them with books. He encouraged the students to deeply understand and appreciate the spirit of Zhejiang University, continuously hone their abilities, and never lose the courage to explore.“I hope that you will entertain lofty ambitions, pursue eternal excellence, and answer ‘the Two Fundamental Questions’ posed by our President Chu Kochen with your actions.”

    This year, the college organized nearly 200 students to participate in the work of the Senior Group. From carrying luggage, guiding routes to assisting with registration and answering questions, the students of the Senior Group offered meticulous support. Their presence was a vivid interpretation of the peer support spirit of Zhejiang University. In the upcoming academic career and daily life, the Senior Group will continue to be students’ trusted mentors and friends.
