On the afternoon of November 25th , 2022 , Integration of the knowledge——The Deep Scientific Research Training Results Exhibition and Experience-Sharing Seminar was successfully held in the Conference Hall 537, 3rd building, Haina Complex, Zijingang Campus .
The seminar started with the introduction to Deep Scientific Research Training Program of Cho Kochen Honors College given by Lu Xin, the Vice President of CKC. He introduced situation of the program from a full spectrum, putting forward the idea of transforming knowledge into innovation ability training. In addition, he encouraged the innovation in interdisciplinary domains with team-cooperating efforts, the industry-oriented program research which helps carrying out enterprise cooperation, as well as using the contents of Deep Scientific Research Training Programs to enrich the knowledge domain of science, agriculture, medicine, humanities and social sciences.
Numerous excellent innovative programs also emerged in the Deep Scientific Research Training Programs in 2021.
The evaluation 2021 Deep Scientific Research Training Programs has just been accomplished successfully, in which 10 outstanding projects and 1 best popularity award were selected after experts’ scoring and college’s review. On the spot, Lin Xiao, Deputy Dean of Chu Kochen Honors College, presented awards to the leaders of the 10 outstanding projects. Guo Jiangtao, also a Deputy Dean of Chu Kochen Honors College, presented award to the leader of the most popular project.
Additionally, upon this activity, the digital edition of the special book of deep scientific project Achieve Overall Learning through a Comprehensive and Purposeful Study----Deep Scientific Research Training Results and Experience Sharing was released. In order to help students understand scientific research, participate in it and better adapt to it, the editor selected several typical projects and invited their leaders and tutors to share experience, The deans, teachers and students who took part in compiling started the opening ceremony of the e-book together.
Yang Wanxi，the professor of the College of Life Sciences of ZJU, delivered a speech about the relationship between the learning guidance in the deep scientific research project and its impact on students' future careers. He first introduced how he trains his students and stressed the importance of building self-confidence for scientific research. Meanwhile, he also pointed out that participating in Deep Scientific Research Program is the most effective way to improve students' abilities. After showing the students how to choose a tutor and when the proper time to enter the laboratory is, he emphasized the importance of a proper atmosphere for scientific research and academic guidance, and affirmed the central role of original research on students participating in the project.
After that, Shen Yike, Xue Dixuan and Chen Feng, the leading students of the excellent projects shared their experience. They introduced their scientific research experience and summary of the project, emphasizing the three aspects of rationally making choices, time management, and seizing the opportunities subjectjvely.
Ye Jingjia, the Deputy Director of the teaching office of CKC, introduced the specific operation process, purpose, significance, object orientation and time schedule of the Deep Scientific Research Training Program. At the same time, she gave answers to common problems in system operation, and explained the typical problems encountered by students in the past years in deep research projects.
At the end of this activity, however, everyone's enthusiasm for deep scientific research had not diminished. In the exhibition hall of the activity, posters of scientific research projects was showing the outstanding scientific research achievements of the 2021 deep scientific research training projects to the students, who had come forward to exchange ideas and ask questions with the project leaders.
