The Asian Undergraduate Summit China branch and the Science and Technology Innovation Exchange Camp of Zhejiang University opened on June 3, 2019.
Executive vice Dean of Chu Kochen College of Zhejiang University, Ge Jian, attended and delivered a welcoming speech. She hoped to take this opportunity to promote the exchange and cooperation with universities in various Asian regions, creating an open and inclusive exchange environment, and cultivating high-quality and innovative talents with global vision.
Teachers and students from 9 universities in Asia, including the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong, gathered at Chu Kochen College of Zhejiang University this week for exchange and cooperation to draw a new blueprint for the future.
“The future has come”
The Summit invited Xu Xiangguo, professor from the school of energy engineering, Zhejiang university and Zhang Kejun, professor from the school of computer science and technology.
Teachers and students discussed how to use science and technology to build a space for sustainable development from energy design to technological innovation. Visiting the maker space of the school of biomedical engineering and instrument science of Zhejiang university, Hangzhou Zhongze science and technology LTD, Zhu Renmin Art Museum of Zhejiang University and other practice bases, let participants know that technology has been able to help us build a better life.
“Appreciate and understand each other”
The teachers and students from all over Asia also visited the history museum and science museum of Zhejiang University, the west lake and the historical and cultural blocks, so that the Asian students could fully appreciate Hangzhou, knowing more about Zhejiang university and feeling the spirit "all rivers run into sea" and "seeking truth and innovation" of Zhejiang university. Meanwhile, visiting innovative enterprises such as Huawei and Alibaba also made participants feel that Hangzhou is a city full of innovation and vitality.
