In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC and strength ZJU´s goal of building a world-class university, training students into highly qualified creative and leading talents with global perspective, CKC Honors College held a series of celebration events.

    On the evening of September 24th, a lecture was given by Professor Zhang Junsheng, the chairman of Zhejiang University Development Committee. Ms. Zhong Rongrong, Deputy Secretary of Party Branch directly under CKC college, and Mr Tang Xiaowu, Assistant Dean of CKC college were present. Prof. Zhang started the lecture with his experience in Philippine and recalled the great changes of our country which he had witnessed during the 60 years.

    Then he shared with students what he saw and heard in Hong Kong, retracing the hardships that HK had suffered in order to return to Chinese sovereignty. Prof. Zhang warned us not to forget the humiliation our country had endured, and to stay prepared in the time of peace as well as be modest all the time. After that, Prof. Zhang elaborated the education philosophy of ZJU and raised high standards for the students present. He pointed out that Zhejiang University aims to cultivate a group of students who have global perspectives and high qualities, with the potential of becoming creative and leading talents.

    Grand ideals, moral traits, abundant knowledge, outstanding abilities, modest working styles and healthy bodies are all necessary. Prof. Zhang encouraged us to love and honor our university, and have the courage to take responsibility, so that students can grow up into truly big talents who are able to contribute to the great rejuvenation of China. During the final interaction, the students were all active in sharing their thoughts.

    It is believed that each one of them will keep the motto of CKC college in mind, seize the time , and work hard to make contribution to our nation´s future.
