Around 5:00 on the afternoon of October 26th, 2011, an old man was hit by a car and thrown several meters away from the pavement on Gudun Road, around Yaojiangwendingyuan. He hurt so seriously that he was unable to move.

As the passers-by were hesitating whether to help, Wang Xinxin, a member of Badenian Medical Class 0801 of CKC in Zhejiang University, immediately threw himself into the breach. Ensuring that the ambulance safely took the old man away, Wang Xinxin went back to the campus. Four months later, the once-wounded old man told the school leaders about Wang's heroic deeds. When asked about his intention at that time, Wang answered: ‘helping others is my basic principle. I was doing what I was supposed to do.’

Wang's courageous act is very precious comparing with others' hesitation. His behavior energizes the spirit of Lei Feng in the contemporary society.
