Emphasizing on creativity development and top talent education, the sixth annual convention of National Talented Specialty Committee was held in the international conference center of Zijingang campus.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the vice-president of the CKC.Wu Degui, vice-chairman of Chinese Talents Society; Wu Wudian, former president of World Talents Society; Zhang Xupei, inspector of Zhejiang Education department; Lai Demao, vice-president of Zhejiang University; and Chen Jin, executive president of Undergraduate College addressed in the opening ceremony.
Later, He Shuman, Director General of National Talented Specialty Committee delivered a speech on the creative personality of science talents. Tamra Stambaugh, professor in Vanderbilt University of USA and Zheng Qinghua, professor in Xi’an Jiaotong University raised new ways to explore and educate outstanding youths. Heinz Neber, psychological professor in Gesamthochschule-Universitaet Essen impressed the importance of creating problem-inquiring learning surroundings.
During the plenary lecture in the Afternoon, Mr. Wu Degui firstly interpreted the Talents’ Development Program. Mr. Chen Jin pointed out some main problems in Chinese talents education. Then, Xiu Chen Cravens, the vice-president of Vanderbilt University and Quek Chwee Geok from Singapore Education Department showed their own research achievements.
Soon after, the specialists attending the meeting made speeches on several issues. Next day, the participants were divided into 3 groups, which were college forum, research association forum, secondary school forum and kindergarten forum. Professors and scholars shared their opinions well.
Participants are from key universities, middle schools and famous research institute in German, America and so on, people from honor colleges in the province attended the meeting as well.
