Social practice for college students has long been a key emphasis of the tradition of Chu Kochen Honors College, Zhejiang University. During this summer, ten teams consisting of a number of over three hundred students went to several parts of the country. They did social research, rebuilt the disaster-stricken regions, lectured on the Party’s ideology and passed on knowledge to the dropped-out children.
Among these pioneers, two teams, which went to ShangYu, Zhejiang Province and the Hubin Community in Hangzhou respectively, were awarded the honorary title of the "Best Social Practice Team in the University". In the meantime, students at CKC Honors College is actively developing new social practice bases such as the Wangyue Community Base on the ground of the original ones. With the efforts from both the faculty and the students, the career of promoting social practice at CKC Honors College will reach a new level.
