On Dec. 20 th 2009, the Youth Volunteer Practice Department of CKC League Committee organized a visit to retired professors. Freshmen and sophomores of CKC paid their visit with carefully prepared New Year´s gifts as well as an elaborate show. Retired professors received this advanced New Year´s rejoicing at the Retired Cadres´ Center in Yu Quan Campus. Students arrived two hours ahead of time to carefully decorate the place, creating an atmosphere of joyful festivities.

    After setting up the facility, the students put on brilliant performances, including magic tricks, classic and encouraging songs, piano and Erhu solo, and an anthem chorus. Besides, they played ping-pong relay game with the retired professors. Meanwhile, the professors shared their wisdom and knowledge with the students. They eagerly discussed academic problems and explained scientific principles reflected in the games, ranging from statics, hydromechanics to mathematics. When the shows and games came to an end, the professors and students extended their greetings by exchanging cards with wishes.

    The festivities ended with a delightful chatting about learning and life. Each student present benefitted a great deal from professors’ story.
